However, the Flyers won 2-1 in overtime on a Tyson Foerster goal that was assisted by Elliot Desnoyers. Ian Laperrière, the head coach of the Phantoms, was happy with Foerster’s overall performance as he demonstrated his physicality and shooting prowess in advance of training camp. The New York Rangers defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 1-0 on Tuesday night to win their third straight game thanks to a breakaway goal from Chris Kreider and 19 saves from Igor Shesterkin.
