William Nylander, who has two goals and three assists, assisted Marner on his 12th goal of the season. Marner added an assist to his already-team-record 22-game point streak, extending it further.
When Jonathan Huberdeau was cited for high-sticking off the opening faceoff in overtime, Toronto went on a power play.

For the Flames, who fell to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday, Noah Hanifin scored twice. Trevor Lewis and Nazem Kadri both scored goals. Adding two more assists were Andrew Mangiapane.
For Calgary, Dan Vladar turned aside 29 shots.
In the opening frame, both teams each scored twice.
At 5:04, with Hanifin out for holding, Matthews scored from the slot for his 15th goal of the year during a power play.
At 9:13, Hanifin scored from the left circle with the teams separated by four skaters. Elias Lindholm and Huberdeau each had an assist.
At 12:52, Kadri scored his 11th goal of the year from the left circle with assists from Mangiapane and Dillon Dube.
At 17:10 of a power play, Nylander tied the score with a shot from the right circle with help from Marner and Sandin. Mikael Backlund was absent to do a cross-check.
At 11:11 of the second period, Lewis scored his fifth goal of the year from the right circle after Backlund’s shot struck the post. The play was set up by Marner’s giveaway.
At 17:19 of the period, Nylander scored his 17th goal of the year after Calgary defenseman Chris Tanev deflected his attempt.
